My Practice & Background

I’m an artist based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, specialising in watercolour and coloured pencil works.

With a professional background in Communication Design—holding a Bachelor of Design from Massey University in Wellington—I approach fine art with an eye for composition, structure, and visual storytelling. My work focuses primarily on birds, exploring how decorative motifs, pattern, and colour harmony can alter the distinct personality and aesthetic of each subject I paint.

For me, making art is a mindful, meditative practice. While select pieces invite the viewer into subtle narratives or questions, the heart of my portfolio is a celebration of colour, pattern, and character. I’ve been creating, exhibiting, and selling my work since 2022.
